COVID-19 Tax Changes Affecting Individuals — Group Live Session

Numerous and often complex tax changes in COVID-19 legislation affect all individuals. The changes include 2020 rebates most eligible individuals already received, but some may have more to claim on their 2020 return. The legislation also included favorable provisions for self-employed individuals, expanded charitable contribution possibilities, and the ability to pull (and later return) funds from retirement plans. Changes also included some undoing of the TCJA and the need for amended returns. This presentation addresses the COVID-19 legislative changes pertaining to individuals with an emphasis on due diligence and planning considerations.

Resolving the Demands of Section 199A With CCH Tax Software — Group Live Session

Join this session to learn how to enter data to calculate the Section 199A deduction using CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax. The session will begin with a basic overview of Section 199A input using the Worksheet View interface.  Input examples will utilize scenarios for Non-service and Service income for Schedules C, E, and F, and for flow-through entities. Aggregation examples will be worked through as well as examples of processing section 199A carryovers.
